Gwōjo yāt jahn jī hauh, bābā fáanlèih lā.

Kéuih góng: “Néihdeih jouhmē ā? Ajái-anéuih, bīngo jíngchān néihdeih ā? Néihdeih jouhmēhāak sèhng gamyeuhngge!”

Dī jáinéuih jauh góng: “Āai ā, bābā! Ngāam-ngāam lèihjo jek daaih gwaaisau. Go yeuhng yauh ok yauh dāk yàhn gīng! Kéuih yuhng yātdeui hóu daaihge ngáahnchìhng jyuh ngóhdeihgo chàauh, hāak séi ngóhdeih lā!”

Bābā jauh wah: “Ō! Gám kéuih heuijo bīn ā?”

Dī jáinéuih jauh wah: “Ā, kéuih heung nīgo fōngheung jáujo.”

Bābā jauh góng: “Háh! Ngóh yìuh heui jēui kéuih. Hóulā, ̀mh hóu dāam sām lā, ajái-anéuih! Ngóh yātdihng kúi jukdou kéuih.”

Yū sih jīulìuh bābā jauh heui jēui nī jek ‘daaih gwaaisau’.

Kéuih fēijo yāt jahn jī hauh, kéuih gindou yātjek sījí hái louh séuhngmihn hàhng gán.

Daahnhaih jīulìuh ̀mh gīng. Kéuih lohk hái sījíge buijik séuhngmihn hōichí naauh. Kéuih góng: “Néih dím gáai lèih ngóh ūkkéih hāak chān ngóhdī jáinéuih ā?”

Sījí ̀mh léih kéuih gaijuhk jáu.

Lihng góng yéh daaih sīng ge kéuih ganggā okgám naauh, kéuih wah: “Ngóh wah béi néih tīng ā ... Néih móuh kyùhn lèih ngóh ūkkéih. Tùhng màaih, néih yùhgwó joi lèih ... ̀Mh ... Sēuiyìhn ngóh bāt séung gám jouh ...” Kéuih géuihéi yātjek geuk góng: “Ngóh kúi yāt geuk cháaityúhn néihge buijik!”

Yìhnhauh jīulìuh bābā jauh fēifāan chàauh gó syu.

Kéuih wah: “Ajái-anéuih, ngóh yíhgīng béijo nīgo yéh yātgo gaaufan. Kéuih bāt kúi joi lèih ga lā!”
