Anite otâpânikamikohc cî owacištoniw piyešîš. Peyakwâw, cî wayawîhyâwac onîcihikomâwac – cî wî nôcimîcimewac ce cî ašamâtwâw otawâšišîmiwâwa. Cî nakatâkaniwac payacânišišac.

Nâcešîš, cî peci-cîwehyâw ohtâwîmâw.

“Tân kâ ispayic?” Cî itwew. “Awen kâ âhkohikoyekw? Mwehc e koštâciyekw cit išinâkosinâwâw”

“Nôhtâwînân!” cî itwew, “Awesîs kâ mista-koštâšinâkosit cî takošinw. Nâšc cî peci-mâmahkacâpiw e peci-kanawâpahtahk ciwacištoninâhc. Nâštâpwe nicî koštâcihikonân!”

“Mâ!” itwew ohtâwîmâw, “Tânite kâ itohtet?”

“nete cî itohtew!” itewac

“ekâ pitamâ!” itwew ohtâwîmâw, “nika nânatawâpamâw. Ekâwîy âyimeyihtamikw, nitawâšišîmitikw! Nika atimahwâw,” ekw cehcihyât.

Namawîy mâk koštâciw piyešîš. Twehototamwâw kaye anite ospiskoniyîhc aniyiwa mišâpišiwa. Ekw eti-cihtahamawât. “Cekwân wehcî-takošiniyan nîcinânihc? itwew, “e koštâcihatwâw kaye nitawâšišîmac?”
