I asked
a Swiss German friend of mine why the Germans tap the glass on the table, clink it off the others glass, and then tap on the table again before drinking.
Apparently
it means that those who refuse to do it will have no loving till the
day they die. It’s something from pagan times.
Do any
of you people have any light to shed on this? |
