Nu is dat Moot vull! Nee, nu is't öberlopen! Dat eenzige Feernsehsennen in Plattdüütsch, wat uns Neddersassen-Nedderdüütschen betherto noch in uns Modersprook bleben is, warrt bi N 3 ok noch ut dat Obendprogramm ruutsmeten. Dor sleit doch Gott den Dübel doot! Sünndoogs, smottens Klock ölben will man uns dat Opteken vörsetten. In de ,,Europäische Sprachencharta'' un in de norddüütschen Landesverfassungen is uns Sprook opnohm worrn, dat seggt doch wull noog. Mien leben Lesers, ik geev twee Adressen bekannt, an de ik al schreben hebb, un an de ik Se beed, ok Ehre Meen to schrieben.

["Now the cup is full! No, now it runneth over!" =] This is it! It's simply too much! The only television show ["Talk op Platt"] that we Low Saxons / Low Germans still have in our native language is now going to be kicked off the evening programming at N 3 [NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk / North German Broadcasting Corporation) 3]. ["That's were God beats the devil to death" =] It's an absolute outrage! They want to fob us off with recordings broadcast on Sunday mornings at eleven o'clock. Not a single Ohnsorg Theater performance is recorded and broadcast in Low German.* But Bayern 3 [Bayerischer Rundfunk / Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation 3], well, they broadcast everything in their hard-to-understand Bayuvarian dialect. And it's only a [German] dialect! But the doers here in Hamburg are afraid of broadcasting in our native language. Low Saxon -- that's the correct word for our Low German -- is an independent language. Let's not forget this fact. People everywhere are discussing and struggling to prevent this cultural heritage from disappearing, and the ladies and gentlemen on high, people who probably don't know a word of Low German, ignore all this and simply cancel whatever stands in their way of making room for some other kind of stuff. In Schleswig-Holstein, the first [Low Saxon] reader, Platt för di un mi [Low German for You and Me], for grades 3 and 5 has been published, and they are already working with it in the schools. Our language has been included in the European Language Charter and in the constitutions of the North German states. Surely this says enough. Dear readers, I am going to give you two addresses to which I have already written and to which I ask you to write your opinions as well.
